Insulated curtains are an amazing investment for all seasons, but even ordinary curtains or blinds will make a significant difference. Notice where the sun hits windows throughout the day and make sure those windows are covered. This stops your home from heating up like a greenhouse and allows the air conditioner to spend less time running.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keep the Cool Air In <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We might think more about sealing up drafts in the winter, but it\u2019s important in the summer, too. Rope caulk or foam strips can be used to close gaps around windows. Weather stripping or a sand-filled door snake can prevent your cold air from escaping out of the space underneath your doors.
